At Choe’s HapKiDo in Norcross, Georgia, it is a big honor when our students receive their black belts. Not only is the day big for us, but most importantly for the students. In the video, the young man who receives his black belt at our Karate Norcross location represents hard work, perseverance, and success.
As shared in the video, Master Cody Foor shares his perspective, “The journey to black belt is not an easy one. This is the journey of a warrior. It is full of challenges. Nobody makes it alone. We all support each other.” In addition to students having desire to learn martial arts, the help to achieve black belt comes from the instructors, peers, family, friends, and other influential people who show support. The longer we spend time together, the more we become more of a family. Together we train, spar each other, hold targets for one another, comfort all when in pain, help each other achieve goals, and celebrate each other’s hard work and victories.
Spending time with the martial arts family like the one in Karate Norcross is special time. The bond we share is intimate, strong, and we have each other’s backs.
Congratulations Instructor Williams! We are super proud!
