Children Learn to Collaborate in Martial Arts Cumming

The Best Way to Team Build!

Children and martial arts go greatly together. Any problem that they struggle with, martial arts seem to solve. For instance, collaboration is a lesson students will learn well. Working with another person or even in a small group can cause frustrations for an individual. It becomes easier as adults, but kids will have a harder time because they are still learning about themselves and other kinds of people. For them to get along with each other can raise challenges, but give them the right activity to accomplish together, and they achieve the finish line amazingly.

On top of learning respect and self-discipline, children who do martial arts also develop team work skills. This kind of skill becomes important in life because the need for teamwork pops up frequently. Whether it’s in school, work, or other special situations, learning to cooperate with others to accomplish a task is not easy; it can cause stress and bring out the worst in people. But with teamwork training infused in martial art programs like at Choe’s HapKiDo, it contributes positively to our future leaders.

In any given martial arts class, working with partners or in groups can play greatly in a student’s success. When it comes to alternating turns to hold up a kicking target for peers, the students listen to each other, help all to improve, and literally contribute a hand or two. Students may not realize this, but they continuously practice exchanging good etiquette with one another. And a lot of the times, becoming a good partner increases the quality of training.

Regardless of the level of difficulty of team work, developing  team work skills makes associating with all kinds of people easier. The students learn the importance of treating others and self with respect.

Even if I jam my toe or do not have a car on hand, I will still make it to class to help change lives.

My martial arts career started when I was twenty-years old. I had wanted to do martial arts since being little, and meeting Master Foor changed that. His kindness, wisdom, and perseverance are part of the reasons why I enjoy HapKiDo, Kickboxing, and impacting the world.

I remember when I was a kid and being inspired by the Power Rangers.  Now, teaching kids how to become their best in HapKiDo Martial Arts Duluth Ga is my favorite part. It is a great feeling to watch them go from their first days in class to leveling up on belt tests.

Whatever place you are in life, if you are struggling or feeling nervous about trying HapKiDo or Kickboxing, I will try to motivate you. It is okay if it takes more than one day to achieve a goal. Taking baby steps is the key! If you are looking to be your best then try taking class at martial arts Duluth GA, it can help!!

Master Cody Foor – To me, Martial Arts is an epic, mysterious adventure filled with excitement, challenges, secret knowledge, deep meaning, and purpose. I have been drawn to martial arts all of my life and have been involved in The Way for nearly 4 decades. I have had many excellent teachers and experiences during my life in martial arts, but my REAL journey began when I met Grandmaster Choe. Under the guidance of Grandmaster Choe, I have been able to experience martial arts as a student, friend, brother, competitor, champion, teacher, leader and master. Grandmaster’s ChungMu HapKiDo is a complete path, providing the ways and means for full development of body, mind, and spirit.

Personally one of the greatest joys in martial arts is helping others and witnessing the positive changes in students’ lives. The friendship and community that makes this powerful change possible is a living treasure. The respect in HapKiDo forges relationships with a level of consideration and regard that is rarely found elsewhere.

My life at Choe’s HapKiDo in Duluth, Georgia has come full circle with my 2 sons beginning their own journey in ChungMu HapKiDo. Martial Arts is a true force of good in the world, and it is an honor and blessing to be part of it.
